Green as Pistachio


Have you been drawn in by these phrases before? Then let’s take a step back.

Did you know your body is naturally capable of detoxing itself? In general, I trust my system to flush out what it needs to. In this post, I won’t be advocating for a juice fast or a colon blast. However, there are some foods that are simply healing to the body and I can instantly feel a difference when I consume them.

For me, these items are:
1. Water
2. Dark, leafy greens
3. Lemon juice

To start off the mornings, I’ve been enjoying a juice/smoothie blend (juthie or smooce?) that I’d love to share. (Hint: it contains all THREE!)

(FYI I had most of these items already frozen. If you’re using fresh ingredients, just add ice instead of water!)

1/2 cup sliced cucumber
1/2 cup kale or spinach
Mint leaves
Lemon juice
1/2 of a frozen banana
Ice cubes or Water
